Movie Reviews

Transformers:
I actually really enjoyed it. Went in expecting- wanting- to hate it, and didn't have a single real issue with it. The girl wasn't even as bad as I was expecting. Thought it was a bit slow to get going, but once the battle in Chicago started, bloody hell it was brilliant. Very well choreographed, excellent Computer-generated imagery. Overall the movie is GOOD!

AI:
Its heart is in the right place. But the intelligence behind the rest of the movie is, well, a little too artificial. Intriguing, inspired, flawed, misbegotten and fascinating, all of these qualities apply to the movie, at one point or another.

Antitrust:
Antitrust is one of those thrillers that, as long as you don't think about it too much, you'll probably enjoy it. The acting is okay - perfunctory is probably a better word to describe it. Phillippe will never be a really great actor and I think he knows that. In a role like this, he's good. He doesn't need to do much other than look either happy or scared, and he pulls it off quite nicely. Robbins is good, too, but he usually is.
